12 to Watch: A Program for Virginia Small Businesses

Virginia SPQA, a 501 c-3 non profit all volunteer organization dedicated to performance excellence based on the nation's Baldrige standard of the Criteria for Performance Excellence is pleased to annouce year two of "12 to Watch."
 
Using specific eligibility and selection criteria, twelve small businesses in Virginia will be able to participate in the Virginia SPQA Discovery Program, receive training and Discovery Program related performance excellence technical assistance at no cost. Perhaps more important is the recognition associated with the being one of the "12 to Watch."
 
Small businesses selected to be "one of the 12" are considered to be those poised for positive and sustainable job growth in the Commonwealth and will be recognized at the 30th annual Virginia Forum for Excellence on September 11, 2012 in Richmond, Virginia.

Who's involved?
Offered in partnership with the Virginia Department of Business Assistance, the United States Small Business Administration, the National Federation of Independent Business, Virginia Small Business Development Centers and the Office of the LT. Governor, in its role as Virginia’s Chief Jobs Officer, "12 to Watch" is intended to promote the use of nationally recognized, and time honored management tools equated to performance excellence.

What can you do?
Working with its partners, Virginia SPQA is helping to move Virginia forward. Small business is the backbone of innovation and job growth. Every large business is rooted in a small one!
