VBEC Director, Julie Johnson, brings over 22 years of broad and diverse human resource management experience to the consortium.  She spent 19 years in a variety of HR and Operations management capacities at Philip Morris USA and three years at Alfa Laval Inc., where she was most recently Vice President, Human Resources.  For most of her career, Julie's focus has been working with operations and sales management to develop and implement programs, processes and strategies to support achievement of business goals through improved employee and organizational capability and performance.  She has significant experience implementing Total Quality Management and continuous improvement processes from both the Human Resource and the Operations management side.  Julie received her BA in Economics from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
