Sonoco Products in Sandston, VA packages HP Printer cartridges.  The focus of their site visit will be on the initiatives Sonoco has undertaken to better their workplace.  They will talk about a particular challenge, excessive inventory, and how they implemented lean tools to addresss the issue.  Through using the kaizen philosophy, Sonoco implemented tools such as kanban, 5S and standardization to drastically decrease inventory, increase inventory turns, and create a visual environment for employees.
